On September 4th, 2016 at 2:13 am, Officer Ducharme observed a vehicle parked beside a gas pump at Mr. Gas on West River Rd. The business was closed and Officer Ducharme approached the vehicle and noticed a male occupant seated in the driver’s seat that appeared to be sleeping. Officer Ducharme noticed the vehicle was turned on, shifted into drive and that the male had his foot on the brake. It took Officer Ducharme approximately six minutes to wake up the male inside the vehicle and Officer Ducharme was able to shift the vehicle into park and remove the keys.

While Officer Ducharme was speaking to the male with the door open, the male acted as if he was driving away while the vehicle was turned off. Officer Ducharme noticed the male had spilled an alcoholic beverage all over himself and it was apparent that he was under the influence of alcohol. The male was identified as Brendan Wills, 20 of Concord, NH. Wills was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety tests but was unable to stand upright without assistance. Wills was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

At the Hooksett Police Department, Wills agreed to a breath test and the results showed that his breath alcohol content was 0.22. Wills’ charge was then upgraded to Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and was released on $3,000.00 personal recognizance bail. Wills is scheduled to appear before the 6th Circuit Court in Hooksett on September 13th, 2016.
