On January 9, 2016 at 6:02 PM, Officer Minihan investigated a two car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of West River Road and Main Street.
At the time of the accident Joshua Partington, 31 years old out of Manchester, NH, was traveling south on West River Road, operating a 2005 Saturn bearing, NH registration 3238334. Partington traveled through a red light and crashed into a 2014 Subaru Forester that was turning left from Main Street onto West River Road. While talking to Partington Officer Minihan detected an odor of alcohol emanating from his breath. Officer Minihan asked Partington if he would consent to standardized field sobriety tests, he refused. Partington was subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. During the booking process Partington agreed to a breath test which showed a breath alcohol concentration of 0.21. Because Partington was over twice the legal limit of 0.08 he was charged with Aggravated DUI, cited for failing to stop at a traffic light and operating an uninspected motor vehicle. Partington was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear before the 6th Circuit Court in Hooksett on January 26, 2016. No one was injured in the crash.
